How does HomeVet’s house-call service work in HK?
We come to your location, examine your pet, and provide necessary treatments, vaccinations, or health checks without you having to leave home.
What areas in Hong Kong do you serve?
We serve most areas of Hong Kong, including Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, the New Territories, and Discovery Bay and Park Island. Please contact us to check service availability in your area. We cannot go to South Lantau or Lamma and the outlying small islands.
How experienced are you?
Homevet has been operating in Hong Kong since 2013. Our founder vet has over 20 years experience.

We offer a full range of veterinary services, including:

Are there any services that cannot be performed during a house call?
Some procedures, such as major surgeries, advanced imaging (X-rays, CT scans), and intensive care, require a full veterinary clinic or hospital.
How do you handle emergencies?
We do not provide emergency services. If your pet has a life-threatening condition, we recommend contacting a 24-hour veterinary hospital.
Booking and Appointments
How can I schedule an appointment with a HomeVet veterinarian in Hong Kong?
You can book an appointment via WhatsApp, by phone, email, or through our website.
What are your operating hours?
We operate on an appointment-only basis, with availability throughout the week. Contact us for specific scheduling. Most days are 9 am – 6pm.
Is there an additional fee for house-call services?
Our home visits fee are built in to include the call-out fee, which varies based on location. Contact us for pricing details.
Pet Health and Care
How should I prepare my pet for a home visit?
Ensure your pet is in a quiet, comfortable space where they feel secure. Having treats or familiar toys can help keep them relaxed.
What measures do you take to ensure my pet’s safety during the visit?
Our vets are experienced in handling pets gently and calmly. We minimize stress and take precautions to keep your pet comfortable. If your dog is aggressive, you must be able to put a muzzle and leash on them and help handling them.
Do you offer advice on pet nutrition and general well-being?
Yes, we provide tailored recommendations on diet, exercise, and lifestyle to keep your pet healthy.
How do you provide medications?
We carry the same veterinary medications in our vehicle as a veterinary clinic does. We will give your dog or cat the medications on that day that the day recommends (as injections, or tablets, etc.)
How do you provide repeat prescriptions?
We will SF express you or hand deliver other medications that your pet may need, if required. You can place an order by WhatsApp.
Payment and Policies
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards, HSBC PayMe, and cash.
What is your cancellation policy?
Appointments must be canceled at least before 9am (for appointment date) to avoid cancellation fees.
