Is Ap Lei Chau famous?

Yes! Ap Lei Chau is a small island next to Aberdeen on the South Side of Hong Kong island. Its between Pok Fu Lam on one side, and Wong Chuk Hang and Ocean Park on the other. The island is famous because it had a village with the name “Heung Kong Tsuen”, meaning  “Fragrant Harbour Village”, and it’s from this village on this island that the city’s name Hong Kong came. Big residential buildings here include South Horizons residential area, and Larvotto. Larvotto is a famous landmark with a sleek yacht-shaped design. Other landmarks in the region include the Jumbo Floating Restaurant, Aberdeen Boat Club, and The Aberdeen Marina Club- as Ap Lei Chau overlooks the Marina here.
