Drontal Plus Taste Tabs Tablets contain three active ingredients (praziquantel, pyrantel pamoate, and febantel) that protect your furry friend from intestinal parasites. Let’s learn how these ingredients eliminate harmful worms from your dog’s digestive system.

Praziquantel (50 mg): Praziquantel is active against cestodes (tapeworms). Once administered, it is absorbed, metabolized in the liver, and excreted in the bile. Upon entering the digestive tract, cestocidal activity is exhibited. Following exposure to praziquantel, the tapeworm loses its ability to resist digestion by the mammalian host. Because of this, whole tapeworms, including the scolices, are very rarely passed after administration of praziquantel. In many instances only disintegrated and partially digested pieces of tapeworms will be seen in the stool. The majority of tapeworms are digested and are not found in the feces.

Pyrantel Pamoate (144 mg): Pyrantel pamoate effectively targets and paralyzes roundworms and hookworms, preventing them from attaching to the intestinal walls. This ensures that the parasites are naturally expelled through your dog’s stool, providing fast and effective relief.
